The UGC conducts the National Eligibility Test (NET) twice a year, in June and December, with the assistance of the National Testing Agency (NTA). The question pattern for each discipline in the UGC NET exam is consistent, solely of objective-type multiple-choice questions. The first exam includes a total of 50 questions, which encompasses Paper 1. And for paper 2, there are 100 questions. Each question of Paper 1 and 2 carries a value of 2 marks, resulting in a total score of 300 marks. The duration of the exam is 3 hours, and there is no negative marking for any of the papers.
